We need a doctor in the House! Tammy is running to put the needs of regular Oregonians above the agenda of wealthy corporations.
People Over Profit
We can demand that the Oregon legislature provide the safety and dignity we need.

Fully-Funded Schools
Oregon has among the worst education outcomes nationwide. Investing in preschool, K-12, and adult ed is good for school staff, families, and economic stability.

Universal Health Plan
Health care is a human right. We must pass a Universal Health Plan in Oregon to make medicine free at the point of service without bureaucratic red tape.

Renters’ Bill of Rights
The rent is too damn high! Statewide rent control and protections for tenants will alleviate homelessness and drive down the cost to buy a home.

Green Transportation
Climate disaster is all around us — we must end the reliance on fossil fuels. Investing in public transit will make commutes faster, safer, and more enjoyable.
Doctor, Mom, Democratic Socialist
Tammy grew up in a working-class military family, moving to a new home every 18 months and relying on extended family to stay out of homelessness.
She had two babies while in med school, and she saw firsthand the horrors created by medical companies as a practicing physician for 20 years.
She’s an elected Beaverton School Board Director and a proud member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

What People Are Saying About Tammy
Labor leaders, parents, and other Oregonians are backing Tammy’s campaign.

❝We need people like Tammy Carpenter in the legislature who will ask how we can tax millionaires and billionaires instead of burdening working class Oregonians with cuts to services. I’ll be thrilled to serve alongside a fellow DSA member.❞
FARRAH CHAICHI, Oregon State Representative for Beaverton/Aloha

❝On the Beaverton School Board, Tammy has been a champion for families, students, and educators like me. She asks the hard questions about why we’re closing schools when kids are struggling more than ever. The Oregon legislature has failed for decades to properly fund our schools, and I know that will change with a fighter in office like Tammy.❞
HAILEY DE MARRE, Beaverton High School teacher and union member

❝Most of my generation is totally priced out of home ownership. We started unionizing at the Starbucks in Tanasbourne because we could barely afford to live — we made minimum wage while the CEO raked in billions. I’m voting for Tammy because she knows which side she’s on.❞
ASPEN MAXWELL, renter and Starbucks Workers United member
